Reggaematizer is a music project created and produced by Wayne Bennett (Lotek), reimagining familiar songs through the sounds and rhythms of Jamaican music.
Drawing on roots reggae, ska, rocksteady and dub, Reggaematizer takes songs from across genres and generations and gives them a fresh identity, combining deep basslines, infectious rhythms and inventive arrangements with a healthy respect for the originals.
From unexpected covers to dub-heavy reinterpretations, the idea is simple: different songs, different styles, one unmistakable reggae heartbeat.
